HOW TO LOGIN to EMAIL for Ross Students E-Mail Access

To use the email service that Ross University School of Medicine provides, point your Web Browser (internet explorer 4 of better is suggested) to http://mail.rossmed.edu.dm

NOTE TO AOL USERS: You must use an alternative browser to access the rossmed email web server. Please start your AOL session normally, and login to AOL. Then MINIMIZE the AOL browser, and start Internet Explorer (version 5.01 or later) or Netscape (version 4.8 or later). Then enter the rossmed URL above, and follow the directions below. (You must include the domain name as described!)

Additionally, we will be changing the format for student usernames to prevent future confusion. We will NOT be using a space between ANY student usernames as of the start of the Jan 2003 semester. Please note this as you refer to the below instructions….

You will see the following screen, please enter your user name in the login box here and press enter.

Most students’ usernames are firstnamelastname. You might also try lastname<comma><space> firstname (please capitalize the first letters of your first and lastnames)

Type your username (as described above) in the field labeled “Log On” then press Enter.

Some Users will see a third box for entry of the “Domain”

as shown below….

Enter you User Name (e.g. John Doe), the same password you use to login, and the domain,

Which in your case is “ROSSDM_STUDENTS”

You will then be able to check your mail.

Some Uers will only have two boxes……

The domain name MUST precede the username in the USER NAME field for proper authentication….as shown below…

To login enter your user name which will look something like this ROSSDM_STUDENTS\johndoe , then enter your password.

NOTE: Please note that the domain followed by a slash (\) precedes the user name in the User Name field.
